Whitney Houston staged her amazing comeback at a recent charity event at 17th Carousel of Hope Ball this past weekend, looking the best she has looked in this writers recent memory. Check out those pictures to the left (courtesy The Daily Mail) - what a striking contrast!!

Whitney recently left her husband of 14 years, Bobby Brown, and filed for divorce - and has also recently been in rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. I must say, she’s looking GREAT - what an amazing transformation!

For her sake, I hope it lasts. We all know that looks can be deceiving (Robert Downey Jr. taught us that lesson, hey?). I would love to hear Whitney perform again - - dare I hope for some new music releases sometime in the near future? I fear for her beautiful voice, however - years and years of hard drug and alcohol abuse can cause havoc with the vocal chords - - it would be a damn crying shame if she lost that beautiful voice!

Go, girl!

What is good for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt does not appear to be good for Madonna. Madonna has come under fire from an African human rights group for attempting to seemingly use her fame, wealth and power to fast track the African adoption policies in order to adopt an 18 month old Malwaian boy.

Madonna was described to the biological father, by the Reverand who runs the orphanage, as a “Nice Christian lady” - because the father wanted the child to be placed with a family with christian values.

Anyone beg to differ?
